Thank you.
I'd specifically like to mention some of our fellow Geeks who are among these brave men and women, such as Zune80 and Kildar. (These are the only two who I'm positive about being the military, my sincerest apologies if I didn't mention you...)
If you were, or are still a member of the armed forces, be assured that the people of your nation thank you for your services from the bottom of their hearts. It is a magnificent thing when people are willing to put their lives on the line, and sometimes make the ultimate sacrifice, in defense of what we hold dear.
In all honesty, I've run out of things to say very quickly. The emotion that this holiday invokes is impossible describe with words, especially for me, with a father who almost went to Vietnam and an aunt who has served for over over a decade-and-a-half in the United States Air Force.
Whether you are celebrating Veterans Day, Remembrance Day, or Armistice Day, please take a minute to pause and just attempt the fathom the pure bravery and courage that was omitted from these brave souls who have selflessly fought and died in defense of fellow citizens they didn't even know.
The purpose of making this a discussion was to ask our fellow community members to show their fellow gratitude and mention any possible family members or friends they might have who are currently, or previously, in the military. Thanks, Guys. :)
