How do you properly install Skype in Miranda? I have downloaded the latest .dll file, and extracted the file to the plug-ins folder that contains the other protocols for MSN, Yahoo, etc. After doing that, I restarted Miranda, so that the changes would take effect.
Miranda then correctly recognizes the protocol in the list of accounts that I have. However, when I go to sign in, an error message always pops up saying that Miranda is not "working/running/is too old!". How could this be considering that I downloaded the latest protocol update?
In the meantime, I have been using the standalone version of Skype. I would like to get this resolved so that I can use Skype with the rest of my IM accounts. So far, I have to say that, while Miranda does have a lot of potential as an all-in-one solution, it does not lend itself well towards people who are not tech oriented like myself (i.e. my mom).
Note: In the screenshots provided, I do not have the protocol installed, but it should give you an idea of what was downloaded and where it was installed.
