She became pretty popular pretty fast but she did not have enough of a chance to educate herself on the issues that mattered to the country. She was only educated on things that mattered to Alaska.
And even those things she wasn't always so well educated on.
Here's just one of those things, it's one she and McCain stated repeatedly.
"..as the governor of this state that produces nearly 20 percent of the U.S. domestic supply of energy..."
Um...Alaska produced a little over 14% of domestic OIL (under 5% of ALL oil provided to the U.S.). And that's the only percentage dealing with U.S. energy that even comes close to her 20% claim. Alaska generated 3.5% of the domestic ENERGY generated, which given foreign sources of energy production accounts for about 2.4% of the energy consumed.
