Of course, seeing as Macs can run Windows, it only seems fair that PC's should be able to run OSX properly in some form.

Take care.

No,how many times do people really buy an os? Most of the time people switch to an os is because they are buying new hardware(laptops, desktops ect..) besides apple loves to have %100 control over its products. What i do think is that some companies should start doing more proprietary software that is unix/linux based like what asus is doing. All i run now is osX on my macbook pro and linux on my eepc and dell laptop and i think people are getting a great deal(because linux is free) if they switch to linux due to them not liking windows anymore. Then again your general consumer is not bright enough to install linux.

The general consumer wants familiarity so Linux is definitely out. It's sad really.

Take care.

I installed it....it's nothing special. To me at least, and possibly to the general consumer either. Most of it is commandline run, and the installation and software range is not all that great. Now granted as it gains popularity, as it has since the early 90s, more and more companies cater to it but...the software run on the OS is just as important as the OS. Because without software, an OS is just there.

And many just don't want to learn new software because they are dissatisfied with their current OS. Usually a waste of time when you can just deal with the current problems until they get fixed.

Personally windows was never bad enough for me to abandon anyway so I am more than content to wait as it attempts to improve itself. That and I crash MACs easily. And my software is windows only and doesn't run well in WINE.
