well dude, i had the developers beta of seven running for like one or two weeks untill i found out it have a serious compatibility problem in network with vista and XP you just can get to see them at the network place, today im installing the new beta version (the public one) i hope they have solved that network problem. but if you're not worried about network then you can easily use it, it's a very stable version for a beta, only crashed once.

I would not use it my main OS, but I will use it as much as I can just so I can get used to using it as if it WERE my main OS. I will still keep all my important stuff on my Vista partition, which - in my case - is my main OS.

dont its still beta
wait to the full realease

i would say itsnot wise

As people have said it is only BETA so not 100% fully working and also it is a preview so some features will not be able to be used and others may have limited use, as well as this with a BETA software it will expire which means you can lose your docs etc

I would say use it yeas but not as your main OS

just run windows 7 on a partition on your hard drive. then when you install windows 7 do a custom install and use a partition, you will hve to make one. if you dont know how to partition your hard drive then watch a youtube vid.

listen to this guy, it's a good option

Not a very good idea because it is still BETA and no companies are making software for it yet. It is still probably full of bugs.

Hey just wanted to let you know the way to get the HP LaserJet 1020 to work.

Run the installer found at hp.com as you would, it will fail but that is ok, because it will have placed your driver in the C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\LaserJet 1020_1022 Drivers directory.

What you need to do is:
1. Click the start button
2. right click computer
3. click manage
4. in the computer management window click device manager from the left hand window list.
5. Look in the right hand window for other, once you expand that you should see the hp 1020 listed.
6. Right click it and select properties
7. click the driver tab in the window that opens
8. click update driver
9. click "browse my computer for driver software"
10. browse to "C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\LaserJet 1020_1022 Drivers"
11. click next and it should install the driver and your printer should now work

If this doesn't work, then instead of performing step 11 like I list above, try this.
11a1. Click "let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
11a2. click have disk, use the folder "C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\LaserJet 1020_1022 Drivers"
11a3. your hp1020 should appear in the model list click next and print away
