theres not difference between reading from a peice of paper and those hologram things. obama is a busy man, it just makes it easier to not have to memorize his speech.

I agree that the president is busy, and does need notes, every one does, however, EVERY thing he has a teleprompter, Vice President Biden even made fun of him for it.

He had to stop and ask what exactly an executive order he was signing would do, I think that you should know EXACTLY what it will do BEFORE you even think about signing it, let alone waiting until the media and every one else is there watching you do and then figure out what it will do.

Issues are never simple. One thing I'm proud of is that very rarely will you hear me simplify the issues.

Cybersecurity is a real threat at a national defense level. President Obama's address is on the money, but it is a huge tasking. It all starts on the front lines and in this case, the front line is the consumer. Unfortunately, the average consumer is completely unaware of the threats that loom on the Internet. Sure they hear about Identity Theft, but unless it happens to them, it is not a real concern. Then it is too late. What the consumer needs is a security application that protects their personal information from theft, encrypts their Internet connection and makes them anonymous. None of this should require any configurations on the consumer's part and all of it should work behind the scenes, automatically. There are several products out there, one of which is Covert Surfer. This is an application designed specifically for the consumer to keep their information protected and Internet activity secure. There are many other features, but you can go to www.covertsurfer.com to review the rest. This may appear to be a plug for the application, and it is. Because it's simple to use, affordable and effective.

Hey, at least he has some idea about what he is talking about. More than I can say for those who have spoken about these things in the past. Too many a politician can't even spell internet, much less understand it. Whether or not you agree with his policies, or even believe what he says or not, at least when he says things like "hackers", he isn't referring to people coughing up flem. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and reserve judgment until I see action (or lack their of).

No, when he speaks he knows what is on the teleprompter. If you believe he knows much more then that you may have been drinking the kool-aide. Until our lord president regurgitated the word cyber over and over again in this and other speeches, hacker was perhaps the most over used and mis-applied word on the internet. Now it's cyber sitting at the top of that list but just because he uses the words doesn't mean he understands them. So he uses a blackberry?! So what, so does my grandpa. Why? Because that's what someone sold him.

By show of hands, who actually thinks He knows what he's talking about when he says cyber? It's simply a buzz word someone sent him on his teleprompter and it is used as a vague word to obscure detail and cause confusion and fear under the cloak of marketing buzzwords.
