Dear all, my pc was repaired recently due to power supply failure. i changed my PSU on May as i took the advise from fellow friends here. My pc specification is in this post. http://geeks.pirillo.com/forum/topics/what-went-wrong
however, i realized something has gone wrong eventhough it has just repaired. when i play game, connected to a logitech steering wheel, it will suddenly restart itself or gives me a blue screen saying something like physical memory dump.. something like that. im not sure why. my system is currently overclocked at 3ghz and running in auto power mode.
pls help as i dont wanna send my pc for repair again..~~

I don't have any gauges to monitor the temperature. Used to have one on google desktop but don't think it's accurate. Any suggestion?

Try use beree PSU, like TAGAN 600W

If you do need a new psu, make sure it has 1 12volt rail and 1 5volt rail, chances are you have one with 2 rails and that couses the psu to go into protection mode, 2nd make sure it has japaneese capasitors, most likely your capasitors aren't making enough juice to power the system. Also try finding power supply's with big fans, most of the time whenh you overclock the 80mm fan on the psu might not be enough. Some psu's come with 2 80mm fans or 1 120mm fan. modulare psu's work very well because they have single rails and reduce heat because of the limited cables you have, they are great psu's because of the plugg in cables, but the motherboard connections are stationary. I wouldn't get a Corsair thoe, mine has been failing on me too. Check out Thermaltake psu's they have every feature on the market to run stable and run smoothly. :)

I'd also vouch for single rail. Check the efficiency ratings on modular power supplies to ensure you're not losing any power because of the connectors.

They'd probably be better alright. Less heat from fewer cables means less work for the fans means less power consumed. Not to mention a quieter system.

boot up in recovery mode and CHKDSK \R

An important OS file was probably corrupt or damaged when your PC shut off.

CHKDSK is magic.

You may want to update your bios. Even though it may be new, your graphic card may be bad. Try to use it in another computer that is close to yours. When you start the gaming, the temp may be rising, so download a monitor utility to see if your computer or graphic card is overheating. You did say you didn't have any problems until you installed another graphics card..... think about it.
