Love... Is it bad for geeks?

When I'm alone, I can learn new technology for life, embracing total geekiness. But, sure enough, when I'm in love, I lose track of who I am as a geek, suddenly I can't program or read a book on networking and other geeky stuff. Being in love is just bad for my geek-ness.

Do you guys/gals feel that way too? Or did "Love" actually help you becoming a better GEEK?

Sure does put you in a state where you find yourself not being able to focus more but still its a great feeling. Plus there will be someone you can share your GEEKiness with. Spells a whole lot of fun. Yaay!

Love make everything in life run smoother. Not just between men and their women but with everyone. When we have love in our hearts, we can forgive, we can accomplish more, touch more lives with tenderness.

Being in love is about the most awesome feeling going when things are right. When they aren't, it will tear your heart out.

We all need to learn to forgive even if we are hurt in love. People are people. We gotta love them no matter what.

When two geeks hook up - things actually get geekier. We start feeding off each other's "geek energy" - and if our particular quirks don't end up pushing the other away, then it's pure bliss.

Sadly, my last GF was just as much of a geek as I am - but a few of my little quirks didn't sit well with her (and vice versa).

If you're understanding that relationships are about sacrifice, then no biggie. However that has to be one incredible woman for her to get so high on my priority list- problem is it'll usually take you weeks-months to figure that part out.; ▶ Reply to This

If you don't hook up with a geeky person then your interests go unseen, but then its also understanding/respecting that someone elses interest will not always be the same as yours and theres nothing wrong with that. There needs to be a balance.

Also if your 2 geeks hooking up, you'll probably be too like eachother and that never works out either. U know there will always be one geek that thinks he/she is smatter than the other or one that would crack jokes and just be more dorkier (stupid) and the other person is always left to feel bad. Then being the same has just gone out the window. Pretty simple except those for who they are and find a balance and you will enjoy being the ONLY GEEK even more.
