Wow, I would have thought he'd be older than that. That's a shame. I loved that show growing up. In fact in 1968 or 1969 I got a toy of the Robot. It was red and silver if memory serves me correctly, and you put batteries in it and it would light up and move around the floor etc. It would turn around when it bumped into things, and you could pinch some things in the back of it to open and close it's claw like hands so it could hold things etc. I loved that thing. LOL.

Yea, that one was a classic. I was not able to get one, but I tried to make my own model of it when I was very young - for the feet I used two military tank models without the turrets for the feet. The body was kind of more square than round, but I built in a door so I shove in some wires and metal parts to make look kind of (but not really) a robot. The rest were just some spare parts that I could find around the house. In the end it had some similarities to the Lost In Space Robot, but it really did not look like him.
