I would strongly recommend going with a MacBook. Apple generally doesn't service problems dealing with PowerBooks. Plus the multi touch gesters (did I spell that right?) are well worth the investment in the new models.

No problem. Now all you need to do is change that windows logo as your picture. ;^) haha

HAHA well it might change one day

Yeah, I reckon the Macbook would be a better option. Just because the Powerbook is so old and outdated.

And Apple care is very impressive. Why forgo that kind of service?

I have to agree with the fact that AppleCare provides outstanding service...

And if you don't believe me, go to Chris' YouTube page and search for "Hard Drive: FAIL!" under his videos... He shares the great experience that he, as well as many other Mac users, has had with AppleCare.

Depends how much money you want to spend and what kind of stuff you actually want to do. I have an emac G4 that doesn't seem even the least bit slow, so I imagine a powerbook wouldn't be so bad either, and a powerbook would be a lot cheaper obviously. And I personally hate the look of the unibody macs but that is just me. But having a newer machine would probably be better if you feel like spending the money.

i dont like the aluminum macbooks i like the white ones the best so i might get one of them

I agree.

The only negative aspect I see with the white MacBook is the fact that it runs on DDR2 RAM, not the quicker and newer DDR3.

If you're on a budget, get a Mac mini. If you want the old Macbook style, get the white macbook for $999
