Mississippi along with several other Gulf Coast States have experienced many hurricanes of various intensities over the years, but more major hurricanes have targeted the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
I remember when Camilla hit the Mississippi coast line. At the time, we thought it was the worst to ever hit that area. It makes me wonder if there is a safe way to build homes and businesses, when something like this happens.
My sister lived in Guam with her husband while servicing in the Air Force. She told me that the buildings there could stand up under the Cyclones that they had. If that is so, then why cant the coast be built back with such buildings?
