I was on the BBC News website just now and saw an artical about Steve Jobs and his health. Here it is.
"Apple chief executive Steve Jobs is being treated for a "hormone imbalance" but is staying on as the firm's CEO.
In a statement, Jobs said he had been suffering from ill health for a number of months.
"I have been losing weight throughout 2008...doctors think they have found the cause: a hormone imbalance that has been robbing me of the proteins my body needs to be healthy," said Jobs.
Apple's board said they were giving Jobs "complete and unwavering support.""
Let's hope he makes a full and speedy recovery, and does so before returning to his full duties at Apple.

makes you wonder what will happen to apple once Steve Jobs is no longer the big dog. Peoples faith in apple tend to follow on whether or not Jobs will still be running the show
Maybe so, but Apple is in a far better place now than it was before he came back. The whole company has been "Steveified" now, they more or less share the same passion and ideology as Jobs himself so an Apple without him would still be the Apple we all know and love, just without the guy who started it all off.
I think the timing of this announcement was quite clever too. Any share losses caused by this will almost certainly go right back up the second they announce their latest products and improvements.
I also believe this is partly their plan to sort of "ween" people from their dependence on Jobs. He has been planning his retirement for a while now so I have a feeling he'll be taking a less active role in their public relations as time goes by.
