"THE RAPTURE"

As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

"So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

Matthew 24:3-27

Totally right.
Religion is totally imaginary, from A to Z. Want it or not.
So the best thing everyone can do is keep that stuff for themselves because on one hand, some people don't tolerate different religions, and on the other hand, some people can't tolerate that much bullshit.

So religion is bound to cause trouble for ever, and ever, and ever. It has caused trouble for thousands of years and will continue to do so for just as much time as there will be people to believe that stuff. So, I agree, we're probably not going to convert anyone anyway, so let's just NOT talk about this in public!

I can't refrain myself:

So where did you come from? Do you believe a pile of dirt just leapt together into the first evolving, procreating life form in existence? You know how stupid that sounds? Why does it evolve? That's an amazing property to just magically have.... Why does it procreate? Why didn't it just die on the rock it formed on? What are the chances of life freakishly forming and it having those properties aswell? Look around you. Look at all the information stored in the living things around you. You're trying to tell me that information just came out of no where, that it builds from nothing?
You believe you're some kind of smart monkey? Do you think that one day you're going to be running around in some kind of star trek uniform laughing at all the primates from other worlds who follow religion?
You think that when you die there is nothing? you cease to exist?. If this is the case no wonder you're a jerk with low morals with nothing better to do then tell other people they're wrong. What's the point of living? There is none for you. Or maybe there is some point for you, maybe to leave some kind of legacy. Unfortunately you seem to be failing at that, currently everyone thinks you're a jerk.
Maybe there's something to be said for atheism afterall. You can join the ranks of like minded people such as Hitler or Starlin, they really showed us what was possible when you don't have some dogmatic religion giving you moral grounding.
For the record, i drank and swore and partied with the best of them and did not read the bible or anything. I was not "indoctrinated" with anything, I decided one day to read the bible for a laugh and discovered it to be true.
In closing, I don't know whether to throw you a banana or let you crawl back into the slime pool you evolved from.

When you decided that you are a Christian, what made you come to the conclusion that those particular believes are correct? I don't follow any particular religion, but pushing that aside for the moment, there are hundreds of religions out there. I'm sure you and I can agree on that. What makes you so certain that Zeus, Allah, Buddha, etc. aren't the real reason behind the universe? Isn't that a little bit arrogant on your part to assume that you have the one and only answer to our existence?

Also, what about non-Christians/atheists? Do you honestly believe that just because of the mere fact that you disagree with them and vice versa that makes them bad people? I would seriously hope not, as that would make you a very hypocritical person.

I'm willing to share my beliefs with anyone that truly wants to know, but I'll know better then to talk about them on a forum that supposedly follows the constitution with the right to freedom of speech and all. Sure anyone against has the right to freedom of speech too, but this guy's taken freedom of speech and turned it into a witch hunt, and is not even willing to have his own beliefs scrutinized.
