Well Twitter has been around for a good bit of time know and I am just curious to if you are still using as much as you did when you first signed up or are you using it less? I have been using Twitter less and less over the past few weeks and I have not even signed on to Twitter in a few days.

It has just gotten to the point where I don't find it fun anymore and it started seeming more like a chore than anything so I have pretty much quit tweeting for the time being, I may get back into later but I am not sure.

So are you using Twitter steady as the day you signed up, more or less?

I tried it off and on for a while. I would go from not at all to updating quite a bit. Then I realized NOBODY CARES. The idea of twitter is cool, but not as a stand alone application. Facebook has a Twitter like home page for users, and I use that all the time. It's nice because your actual friends are looking and reading, and not a bunch of people you really don't know.

This actually reminds me I need to delete my account

I have been using Twitter less and less over time but I still think it is great but I do think that the bigger and bigger twitter gets the worse its going to be with all the spam.

Twitter is useful for me, and I find myself using it more now. I can share the information I find interesting with other people. Of course I also use friendfeed, which is in many ways better than Twitter.

Could live without it, but I enjoy the real-time news whenever I check it. I'd say I'm using it increasingly more as I find more people to follow who have similar interests in the industry.

For sure increasing since beginning of this year. i have had an account since 07, I think, but did nothing with it for that first year. Last year i toyed with it a little but this past January started making some good contacts and seeing some benefits to it. A huge majority of people set up Twitter accounts and walk away from them soon after because they never try to understand the benefit of it. I admittedly felt that way in year one. I am glad I kept mine.

For me it's been up and down. From the day I signed up, I barely had any followers, and followed big name stars, so obviously, I knew I wasn't going to get many, if any, replies, DM's etc. But now I have more followers than I'm following, and activity hasn't changed much. I get more marketing and RT's than replies and DM's. So for me it's up n down depending on the day and subject. There are days I just sign on, and don't even pay attention to it.

Yesterday at one point, just one hash channel, #iranelection, was running over 250,000 Tweets per hour. Aside from YouTube, Twitter and Facebook there was essentially no way to get info out. And much of that was Re Tweets to get something out and Iranians havings other get info out. Much of their efforts is via proxies.

Only a few months ago, no one would/could have imagined this.

Day to day traditional Tweets - I agree - suxx, stoopid etc.

7:15 go to can
7:20 first cup of coffee
7:25 well hi-ho, off to work we go.
8:15 meet with daboss

etc.

There are many other uses for Twitter that have taken off in the last couple months. BTW - Sure the new real time Google stuff could be brutal, but that remains to be seen.
