Download Our Windows 7 Tips!

I heard from multiple resources(aka rumors lol) that Windows 7 is the last operating system Microsoft will ever make. PC owners: the following information maybe disturbing for you. Microsoft said that by 2014 they'll stop supporting XP. As you know a lot of PC users still using XP. Vista as you know, has a lot of bugs and more and more PC users downgrading to XP or upgrading to Windows 7 beta. We don't know how well Windows 7 will be. It maybe like vista and than it's over. But, if Microsoft fixed all the bugs since Vista, it may last 5-10 years. After that, what will Microsoft do? I mean, there isn't much to improve. It's the same operating system for years. Besides that, over companies are tracking more and more PC users to leave Microsoft's services. For example: The Mozilla FireFox and Google Chrom are tracking PC users to leave Internet Explorer. Skype, Google Talk and Yahoo Messenger are tracking PC users to leave Windows(live) Messenger. Apple and Ubuntu are tracking PC users to leave Windows. I think, eventually, Microsoft's services will be useless.

Think is what i think.

Windows 7 will be the last OS Microsoft will be basing off the NT kernel. Sooner or later they will have to make a move like the did from 3.11 to 95. Microsoft wants to move things to the "cloud" so its next OS will be a small OS with just the basic stuff to run apps for the "cloud".

There next OS will be like OS9 moving to OS X where all apps will have to be rewritten for it to work. And with virtual machines being more popular that will be how they do backward compatibility for Windows 7 and lower.

I think if Microsoft drops the ball this time, I think they will be partnerships will get involved or a Company will buy them out. But I don't see them Disappearing from the face of the earth. I think Microsoft is a great Company that has great potential and services, Should look into new software companies Helping and breathe new life into this company. Steve Jobs said earlier on that His needed help and he got the help that he needed and Steve Balmer now needs help.

I don't think that Windows 7 will be Microsoft's last OS. Yes, Mac OS X is gaining market share, but I do not think that Linux poses a threat to Windows among consumers who make up a bulk of PC users. Windows and Mac OS X are the only real easy to use operating systems for consumers. Until someone like Google create their own OS based on Linux, I don't think that Linux will ever gain traction in the mainstream market. If Linux continues as it is today, I can't see its appeal going much beyond Linux loving geeks.

I agree. Microsoft isn't going anywhere, not for a long time! Windows 7 is the second half of Vista, what should have been implemented in the first place. I use Vista and XP, and Mac OS X and also Ubuntu Linux. All have their qualities.

I hope Windows 7 is the last MS OS!!! Why? Because then my dad will be forced to get a Mac, then I will be extremely happy. My dad says as long as Windows is around, he isn't going anywhere near a Mac, but what will he do when Windows is finished?
