i dont believe it either. i always thought it was becasue they didn't want to be like windows. and aren't the buttons aranged diferently as well

We read from left to right. The left is the starting point, so that's where the buttons are.

yes we do, and that's why I think, in Windows, they left aligned the text in the message box, and placed the buttons on the right.

but the japaneese read from up downwards and back to front???

Yeah, I don't get it. It's simple, but windows just feels like it makes more sense and it's become natural. I wish when I hit the red button on a Mac, the app would actually close instead of just close that instance and leave the program open, that means I have to go to the application button on the top bar, and quit, LAME.

Yes that = fail.

His description makes sense, but I like pimpsahoy's reason better :)

Since when did a two-key command become such a chore?

Funny, because Windows users find the three-key command Ctrl-Alt-Delete easy to remember and use to force quit... All the time. :P

Don't worry, I kid. :)

But Ctrl-Alt-Delete is a last resort :P Command Q is every single time, no matter what the circumstance!
