Read an article on internet porn and how it's "The new marriage-wrecker.... How the technology has created what some call an addiction."
It's not the marriage-wrecker bit that interested me but the statement that said "An increasing number of men appear to be hooked, and the women in their lives are flailing about in unhappiness, self-doubt and self-blame."
Some food for thought....
Is it only men that view porn, and the women who are suffering? If this statement is true, why ? (Is it in men’s genes, opportunity (eg. broadband at work), not getting enough sex.)

There are many women who enjoy Porn. Men are more visually minded than women but the girls have about 25% or the market compared to men purchasing the other 75% or the market.
Along the lines of that whole "visual" thing... pick up a Danielle Steele book... yeah... that's porn boyo... weird... weird... weird... porn... but porn...
I was in australia in June... I remember seeing, handling, and "reading" porn... bought on a RAAF base though, don't know if that makes a difference... also it was in the Northern Territories... (Tindall)
In Australia pornography is officially illegal everywhere except for in the territories (NT & ACT). Everywhere else, it's just as easy to get, and police officers don't care, (hell you can walk into a video store and 25% of the time it will have a shelf for it).
Before it was common and ignored, places usually had a back room where they kept it and sold it, as in movies.
