I just installed Windows Vista Ultimate, When I maximize any Window, the aero Effect (transparency), is gone, replaced by the Vista Basic (Black) Task bar. Is it normal? Is there any way to fix it, so that the Aero Theme remains while a window is Maximized?
yeah, its completely normal. for some reason Microsoft didnt include the nice glass aero affect in maximized mode.
google a program called "VistaGlazz". it will patch ur theme files and give u aero glass when programs are maximized. looks great and doesnt affect performance or anythin like that.
Thank you for the information. All i wanted to know if it is normal. I got my answer from you. It doesn't matter that much if it can not be configured in the windows itself. However it would be nice if Microsoft would have done that. Is this same in all versions of Vista?
There is some program that is running in the background that is causing your graphics to go wonky. Or so me thinks. How long has this been going on, and have you recently installed anything? The aero should not go away. I use an old Lotus program that causes Aero to revert to "Basic" mode when it opens.
Don't worry about pc specs - it's normal ;) However if you want it to come back when you maximize, you can google "retain transparency maximize in vista" or something like that. or try VistaGlazz, which some people report that it's done the job. Cheers
