I'm trying to explain to my Dad how I really don't need digital cable to watch my favorite TV shows. It will be easier once I visit him in April.
In the meantime, I could use your help.
My Dad uses computers, but he's not actually "in love" with them, like I am.
My Dad puts his computers in his office, and his basement. He won't have them in the living room.
You can help by recommending devices that would easily take the Internet TV and Music from the computer in his office to his TV and or Stereo.
My Dad has a "decent-sized" TV in his living room, and a Plasma TV in his basement. (He bought it when he lived in a larger house. It's too big for his new house.)
The idea is to recommend an arrangement or hardware/software combination that is likely wireless..
My Dad is a first-class handy man, and knows some electronics. He might be persuaded to drill some holes and string some CAT5 cable, etc. But wireless might be easier for me to sell to him.
I think in some ways the AppleTV offers some limited function. But it likely doesn't handle the full spectrum of Internet TV.
That's where I could use your insights.
