If there is Domination of Apple - What will happen as a result?

I love apple hardware and software. They create great looking products that work well and vurtually virus free. But what happens if they take over microsoft and 99% of people own them. Will that mean hardware and software will go up redicuasly. For example Microsoft Software was overpriced adn probably still is now but if apple takes over not just software will become over priced but hardware aswell! What do you think guys. Do you think this will happen

in fact, its way too late for Apple to truly take over.
We're in a transition period for entering a new age of computing.
We are within a transition for entering the age of web-based applications, even more so than previous.
The company in which I think will be more apt to take down Microsoft in this next age will not be Apple, but instead, will be Google (of course, Google can't do it w/o Apple's help. I mean, Chrome does happen to use webkit.); ▶ Reply to This

Besides, I seriously doubt Apple will ever take over Microsoft. Apple's Mac market is basically rich people, and people with rich parents. People that want the most "bang for the buck" and have a budget usually won't get a Mac.; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by Cookenstein on March 22, 2009 at 12:13pm: I don't ever see APPLE being the market share. They are too much a niche market. They may one day take over the high end of the PC sales market, but not overall. Micorsoft is too entrenched at least for the next 10 years.

The only way Apple could possibly take over is if Microsoft completely fails and is just unreliable. Microsoft will be the dominant computer software manufacturer for awhile now.; ▶ Reply to This

Take each robot in the film iRobot and picture that with an apple logo. That will be when there is a chance of taking over. In computers I dont think so, but in other things like robotics or UI.
