Ida landfalls on Dauphin Island, Alabama; weakens and loses tropical characteristics
Ida came ashore near Mobile Bay in southern Alabama as a weak tropical storm with max sustained winds of 45 mph and higher gusts up to 60 mph.
Fortunately, no major damage reported.

I live in Birmingham, Al and we have had serious rain since last night. It hasn't stopped yet. Hoping it will move out tonight of damage on the coast.
