I have a laptop( acer 5100) and the screen is cracked so im using a monitor. and i want to run dual screens. and i have heard that i can use a usb vga.Will i be able to use this?

Is that USB Device like a Video Card. Does it have its own RAM?

im not really sure. i just understand that plug my second monitor in and it should work. i should need to install any new drivers or buy and other graphics cards will i?

no, but they use 220v vice our standard of 115v.... which was funny... watching everyone blow there equip up the first 2 nights in the bunkers....

No, all you are doing is just taking signal out of your laptop's usb port and sending it through the adapter that does not plug into an external wall outlet, to your monitor that is waiting for the signal to display it. Just think of it just like hooking up another device to your USB port - your camcorders, webcams and digital cameras all work fine; so should a monitor with its own power source work fine. It's just a converter cable being used.
