im not really sure. i just understand that plug my second monitor in and it should work. i should need to install any new drivers or buy and other graphics cards will i?
No, all you are doing is just taking signal out of your laptop's usb port and sending it through the adapter that does not plug into an external wall outlet, to your monitor that is waiting for the signal to display it. Just think of it just like hooking up another device to your USB port - your camcorders, webcams and digital cameras all work fine; so should a monitor with its own power source work fine. It's just a converter cable being used.
