Chrome doesn't work out of the box, you have to use an extension at the end of the shortcut, Skype requires you to use the 4.0 beta, DaemonTools doesn't work (or any Virtual program for that matter, but Virtual CloneDrive seems to work). Ummm... That's about it. MSN works, Vent works, Winamp works, iTunes, Office 2007.... VMWare, CCleaner, mIRC, VNC, winRAR, FileZilla, Vuze, Nero 8, Multiplicity. Oh, and WoW works too, but for some reason to get my addons working I have to run it as admin. That's pretty much what I have installed so far, so I can't confirm much else.
I installed it on my five year old notebook. It works, kind of. It works better than Vista.
But I can´t install any drivers for the chipset, soundcard and graphics card.
So I can´t go above 1024 x 768 resolution on the monitor.
Default resolution for the monitor is 1280 x 800 so everything is "streched" when you use 1024 x 768.
The drivers are for Windows XP and there are no other drivers for my notebook.
Usually it´s the graphics card in the notebook that causes problems.
It´s a ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 and you HAVE to use the special drivers from HP.
ATI doesn´t have any drivers for it on their website.
The just say that I have to use the driver from HP.
