After I've installed new software and then reboot for about 20 seconds

It doesn't take very long, and I reboot daily. I turn everything off when I'm not there or when it's time for sleep. Saving electric ^.^

I put my MacBook in it's sleeve at night, and turn it off. It takes around 30 seconds to boot (I know it is very quick) and My Dell hibernates. I only Hibernate my Dell because it is always got the fan on, and it is in my room, and because if I shut it down, it takes at least 2 minutes to boot into Vista! Vista is soooooo slow for me!

Laptop takes about a minute as it has the OS-Windows Vista. The PC has the OS-Windows XP, which boots faster, say in around 30 seconds.

I have never timed how how long it takes for my boot ups, but I would say maybe 40sec. I rarely reboot right now, unless there is a power spike. I am just running Vista right now and rarely need to reboot. I am going to be getting another hard drive to use just for Linux only and then dual boot so I will need to re boot quite often.
