Billions and billions being spent. I have heard people argue both sides of the coin -- it's too much money without enough control, or yes, we need this spending now to get back on track. Take a look at the video at the link below, and sound off-- Do you think we are we on the right track? http://geeks.pirillo.com/video/someone-took-the-money
its bullshit.
the US is supposed to be capitalistic and a free market, which says that bad companies die due to bad practices and bad/risky decisions. These companies were bailing out are in debt because THEY DID SOMETHING WRONG. and should therefore, not survive.
True but every bank is pretty much failing so what are we suppose to do?
we need the banks.
I think the bail out is working so far, but I live in Louisiana and our dumb ass Governor Bobby Jindal is reusing to take the money thats going to help the unemployed.
The US is in debt but I don't understand why people are all up in arms over Obama's plan. If we just sit back and do nothing then the Economy is just going to fall big time. Plus no one could have came up with a plan that didn't include a mass amount of spending, it's just impossible.
I'm not sure it is fair to say every bank is pretty much failing. There are over 200 now that got help, to be sure. However, there are many thousands more, especially community banks, that did not make sub-prime loans, and never will. Most of those community banks seem to be doing fine.
were just slowing it down. we may make it out fine, but itll take a long time. why dont we just mean to go into depression? sure everything will suck for a while, but afterwards everythings great and value is restored to the dollar and businesses start up again. happened last time, will happen again.
The Lunatics are Running the Asylum.
At best this will be a lesson for the voters who were taken in by the liberal media to put this administration in power.
The worst- I can't even go there. Sad time for anyone dependent on the government.
yay lets save the American car industry that build cars that most Americans did not buy before, and will not buy during and after the recession :D :D :D
Given the ridiculous sums that have been infused since this past Oct/Nov/Dec, I guess if there were anything in the news that pointed towards this doing any good, I'd be in support of it, but I've seen nothing to date that 6 months later anything is changing, or even going that direction. I say, let them go through what all business does at this point. We are all paying for it anyways, and the big CEO's of these Company,s and all their officers at the top seem not to be taking any kind of a hit, in many cases still getting their bonuses, so I say let em fail.
