how do I form a company/small business?

I have a few software ideas, and people who are willing to work for me. Does anybody know how I would go about forming a business in the state of new york? I'm not looking to acquire capitol, we have the everything we need, I was just wondering how to get the legal status of a company. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My only question is, if I form an LLC and it takes some time before it becomes profitable, it seems like I can't put my own money into it... Also if you are going to have employees you will need a fedeal tax id for payroll taxes and such. there is a lot that goes into creating a small business best advice is to talk to a laywer or a local small business resource center; ▶ Reply to This
