You may remember recently about a principle (Thomas Murray) at the Danvers High School banning the word "Meep." It wasn't because it related to any gang activity or implied anything dangerous or derogatory, but because he simply got tired of hearing the word that had become popular amongst the students.

Murray called every student's home with an automated message and sent out a mass email banning the word from school.

"Please be advised that any student who has the letters 'meep' on their clothing or uses the words verbally will face suspension from school...the police are monitoring this situation as well."

The police? Really?

I looked up the public website and got the E-Mail addresses for Principal Thomas Murray ( murray@danvers.org ), Assistant Principal Mark Strout ( strout@danvers.org ), Assistant Principal Cornelia Varoudakis ( cvaroudakis@danvers.org ), and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lisa Dana ( dana@danvers.org ). All of these addresses are publicly available on the Danvers High School website.

Everyone send the word "MEEP" in an email, nothing more, just the word "MEEP."

I was unware that geeks now turned into a flaming service, where we create more problems then solve. No Offense, but this will probably make him hate the word more and if the police are monitering, spamming the head master with MEEP is not the best thing to do.

I dont see why such a thread is on geeks and i dont agree with the headteacher, but i dont think anyone will lose sleep over this, including the kids, knowing them they will probably still do it. but not when hes around.

It's not spamming, the email is publicly available. You don't want to do it, don't
