As more people become tech savvy, do you think that the computer systems will give increased functionality, and so become more complex and harder to operate?
Or do you think that we are heading in another path where functionality is lost in favour of software that is easy to use.
I ask because a couple of days ago I was confronted by a girl at college (she does hair and beauty and I do I.T), she asked me how us "Geeks" coupe with all the tech stuff. We talked and she told me how she can't even remember how to open a word document.

It depends on what you want to do and the complexity of the programs you want to run. The more depth and coices you want, the more complex it becomes. Load up Adobe Suite and you can see it tripled in complexity over the last few years. On the other hand you can get WYSIWYG simplicity too. Another one wit a long learning curve is Sony Vegas, a video editor.
Then, one must remember the longer one has been 'computing' the easier next generation software becomes to learn.
