Yes, They did. Back in The 80's when Microsoft Was devolping a GUI (graphical user interface)
there was almost leagl action taken agaist microsoft for stealing features. Luckly Bill
gates with his Busniess skills made a contract to use some features!
Do you think they still steal features? Please Comment

Yes, yes and yes.

I'm currently using the Windows 7 public beta and the more I dive in the more and more it looks and feels like a Mac. That's not nesecarily a bad thing, but the way they present them leave much to be desired. It's just not as elegant as the Mac way. Also, the way Microsoft are touting these features like the new task bar make it seem like it's all so super new and never before seen. The same with the new "Home Groups" thing, it's nothing new if you've used a Mac in the last decade, or Linux for that matter.

Windows 7 so far seems to be a VAST improvement over Vista, it seems more polished in BETA than Vista does in it's current SP1 LIVE form. So far I'm quite impressed with it considering it's Windows, but it's still got a long way to go before it can better the Mac OS.

Umm, the Mac has nothing even remotely like HomeGroup...

And apple copied Xerox...literally. A good thing is a good thing. It's also not stealing, unless they literally took the code and called it their own, so it's copying. You can only steal exact methods, not generalities. Honestly most of the time things that exist as standards today were being developed as third-party features wayback when. Gadgets/widgets are small apps run by a central engine, yeah that didn't exist years ago. Doesn't that just make the engine a virtual machine (Java or python anyone?)

Over half of what Mac and Windows have are actually copied from others. Neither one is totally unique. There's also the fact that in many circumstances ideas have been in development at the same time, one released first and then people go off of time-line rather than fact to "prove" stealing.

Mac is great, I have not problems with the system (except I always crash them, seriously I'm like an oddity around everyone I meet who likes Mac and Hates Windows) but if you're going to start calling it stealing you might want to look at a lot of other things in your life that were "stolen" from other people. Very little of what is popular now was ever an original idea by the people who made it popular (e.g. steering wheels, light bulbs).

Oddly enough it is easily possible that a lot of features have been planned between the two, years before they ever came out. But I guess we'll never know. Let's just keep up with this time-line method that'll prove everything for us. And stop with this M$ crap. Macintosh is just as money hungry as Microsoft. I know die hard Mac lovers who say this all the time.

Down with the cults and ridiculous accusations. Let's get sensible and let's get real people. It's time the computer world grew up, these ridiculous petty fights have got to stop. Both systems work, both have their good points and bad point, both have people that prefer them to the competition. (Guess what, people leave Mac for Windows also, it's not a one way stream) Let it be, grab the system you like and run with it.

Are you launching a racist attack on my fellow black compatriots?

Be careful throwing that word around. You could be considered as such for saying "My black friends know so much more than you guys!!" up above.

Racism is nothing more than just viewing each other as Separate Groups. Thats the way Ron Paul looks at it. Which is why his belief is, rights shouldn't be based off of an ethnic group or anything of that form, but instead, we should focus on rights of one specific group, the rights of the Individual United States Citizen.
Thats my two cents.
