I could survive; because I am only 13 years old and I dont do writing and work. If I had to use it; I would go with OpenOffice.

I already have Microsoft office Pro for all versions between Office 95 and Office 2003. Plus I have been using OpenOffice since version 1.0 all the way back in 2002 side by side with Microsoft Office 97 and up. And I still have my aging Corel WordPerfect Office 2002 if worse comes to worse. And I think that AbiWord 2.7.4 is everybody's favorite free / standalone word processor. And Gnumeric 1.9.8 for a free / standalone spreadsheet program.

And there is also the free OxygenOffice Professional 3.0.1.3, which is a variant of OpenOffice. Think of it as OpenOffice on sterroids.

And here are a few that you may not of heard of:

SSuite Office - The Fifth Element

Kingsoft Office 2007 Personal version 1626

And one that is not so free:

StarOffice 9 Build 9358 for $34.95 U.S.

And if you are not running Windows at all, and you are a Linux only envrionment - my favorite Free / Opensource suite is:
KOffice 2.0.0 http://www.koffice.org/2009/05/packages-for-200/

I use iWork. It would be a relief to me if they shut it down because I wouldn't have to use it at school.

I haven't used Microsoft office in a while. I either use Google Docs or iWork.

I already use iWork on the Mac. I don't really care what Microsoft does with its products.
