Can you "Clamshell" an iMac

You could try turing the brightness all the way down and making the second display the primary one by dragging the menubar in the Preferences app under Displays->Arrangement. And then dragging the movie to the other screen and full screening it.

yea unfortunately the iMac wont dim the brightness to off like the mac laptops do, its a shame

a black image, OR you can us iAlertU to lock the primary screen and make that black
