Buying a TV, need information

I have been looking for a good sized TV for my living room. I can accommodate up to a 52" TV. I was looking around the internet and all i see is HDTV here and HDTV there by every major known brand of TVs. I've been to BestBuy, Walmart, Target, Circuit City, etc and all they have is HDTV. I don't want to buy a HDTV mainly because of price and the fact that I do not have HD programming from comcast, nor do I want it, and I have nothing to play BlueRay. I'm not interested in HD for TV or movies in my living room. All my HD stays on my computer.

Anyone have any ideas where I can shop to get a non-HD tv? I don't want to spend more than about $500 or so for a 52" non-HD tv. I know that they are available and I know I can get them at cheap prices but I just can't find them.

Cause honestly like probably many other have told you its going to be pretty hard to find I think. Also another place to sort of search but probably not find one is a thrift store. But I am not sure if someone would just give something like that away. But then again they could due to the fact of wanting an hd tv and having to make room for it. And having them come pick it up from their house. Another option might be garage sales? The best advice I can say is second hand shopping in general.; ▶ Reply to This

Not sure how comcast does it, but my cable provider gives HD service at no extra charge.
