Pretty Blunt! What are you a Mac or a PC? And why? I've had PC's but want to get a Mac Book, but I can't afford a Mac right now. Mac's are really nice obviously, but it doesn't seem they have the same processing power available as many PC's which are cheaper.
I have worked on a few Windows Server 2003 machines, I dont see any problems with them. We have one at work serving over 100 PC's, I.T. sits around a lot.

Go play with one a little. They're fun and easier than you'd think. Also, go to the Mac site and check out the tutorial videos. They do a pretty good job of showing the interface and the differences between OS X and Windows.
Touche'! I think my thing is that since people already know Windows pretty well, I just like to throw the Mac option out there. I do have to admit that I do come off as fanboy every once in a while.
By the way, I was on my Mac when I read your reply, and I actually went to the PC to type this reply just for you dude!
I'm starting to wonder if her does work for Jobs also, he's been posting on this since the beginning, which isn't bad and is appreciated. It's nice to have so much info on certain things.
PC all the way long, cheap, fast, also you don't need that much power that Macs currently have on today's software. Secondly PC is compatible with most of the software. Agreed there is Mac software also or a version of the PC software, but still nothing can beat the old PC
What power on todays software? I don't see it. For every "powerful" Mac app there are a dozen Windows apps. I use em' every day! But I do agree, PC is FAR more flexible in all areas.

I do some side stuff with music production and have used both mac and pc there. Pc has some awesome apps for this, but mac has it beat hands down. For instance, Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) used to have a slew of effects/production equipment. Now he's replaced most of that with a Macbook Pro, running Logic Pro... and this is when he's playing live. I know the hard core PC people are going to start shouting Pro Tools, which is okay and I have used it before, but my experience with Logic Express has made me a believer.
Check with Zune80 on this. He is a music guy on a PC, he says there is an equivelent. Personally I do not know, I'm into Video and Graphics, Sony Vegas along with Adobe Graphics Suite and several others that smaller and faster, some even FREE. I have no complaints. I can even edit protected DVD VOB files to my hearts content.

Soo, Much information on the OS, software and hardware. Your inputs are very appreciated and informative. I think you've told us alot, which is cool. Some things I didn't know and probably others don't know either. thanks.
