Has anyone read Foundation yet? I haven't read it yet, but I've read all her other Companion books. Also the ones she wrote with her husband, Larry Dixon. Loved the Valdemar books, the Dragon Jouster series and the Halfblood Chronicles - but just can't get into the Bardic or Bedlam series. Any other Lackey fans out there?

OK, I'm thinking the Valdemar part got you, maybe I should have asked if there were any Mercedes Lackey fans?

I am a huge Misty fan! I know this thread has been dead a while but still... I read the Valdemar books, the Elemental Mages, the Bedlams Bard series, Bardic Voices... ok wait this would be easier if I told you the ones I haven't read. I haven't read the Serrated Edge books or Diana Tregard.

I am glad Misty got back to Valdemar though I was disappointed with Foundation, I'm hoping it will be a trilogy and will get better with the next book.

I've only read the Valdemar books. I started the Bard series but never finished. I am a huge fan of the Companions!

I am an absolute adoring fan of the Valdemar series. I have not yet finished the Foundation book (or probably books by now knowing my luck) but am definetly going to be picking that one or ones up by the end of the week (did I mention I own every book in the Valdemar series lol, of course in paperback because they ALL get reread over and over and over well you get the point) Also, if you like the Valdemar series, another good one you might try is the Recluce Series, it is pretty long, but thye work the same way as valdemar, it is made up of small series to create the overall picture. If you have any questions about it, I can certainly point you in the right direction with this series (and no, overall it is nothing like Valdemar, but hey, you have to branch out am I right?)

I have read foundation and it is great. The only problem is that there isn't a second one in the series yet to answer all the questions you have from reading it.
I've read (and own) many of Mercedes Lackey's books and enjoy them a lot.
