Drink water and unsweetened fruit/vegetable juice instead of soda, energy drinks, slurpee's... etc.
If you drink tea/coffee, gradually reduce the added sugar to 1/4 teaspoon per cup.

Exercise more and eat less. I am the opposite, I am actually trying to gain weight but it is hard :(

Good luck with it :)

Take care.

- Eat breakfast. Skipping breakfast doesn't help
- Don't eat after 8'oclock (this was the hardest thing I had to do)
- Eat slowly. Let your body realize that it's full
- Don't eat if you aren't hungry
- ... don't eat until you are stuffed.

I'm still chunky, but I lost some weight too. :D

Still trying to lose more. At least I'm not gaining.

True, Tex.

Taking things in small steps do help.

I also started to eat smaller portions of food. I found that once you eat smaller portions, then you get used to smaller portions.

And it IS exciting when the weight starts to fall! I think I lost about 20 pounds. :)

I'm kinda in the same boat as you Beau. Except I can't honestly say I've put a great effort into it. Eating and sleeping are some of my favorite things lol sooo.... its kinda bad lol.

I'd say, if you live on your own, try to buy only healthy foods, obviously, and when you do go shopping with a [trustworthy] friend, have them hold onto your wallet/purse if you have any cravings.

dieting is a load of bullshit
when you diet u put the weight back on twice as quick dont mind what anyone else says its true
and the quicker you lose it the faster you put it back on
i no you might hate it but exercise is the best way
every night do situps for 3 mins non stop then higher it to 4 then 5
do 4 sets of 20 push ups and if you do sport that should be enough
if you have dunbells lift them aswell

Exercising and eating less.

Portion control can do wonders as well.

Dieting, as a fad, isn't a good way to lose weight.

Eating a healthy, however, is a good way.

Eat 6 times a day but in small portions cut bad carbs asap (bread, pasta, pizza) eat more proteins like chicken breast, tuna also take supplements "redline" is the best, you'll be able to buy it at a gnc or vitamin shoppe. Don't eat past 8 pm if you do i suggest you buy a protein shake tub "muscle milk" is the best and it tastes alot better than the others. Try to do some cardio atleast run a mile a day to start and one important thing is to cut sugar by any means.

You should do any simular type of Atkins diet unless you seek a Physicians opinion. I did the Atkins diet and became dizzy all the time, callapsing and passing out as well as becoming very shaky. Carbs are a type of sugar, my blood sugar was too low when I did this and was going into the dangerous zone. If this does happen eat an orange or drink orange juice it's HIGH in carbs.

I'm writing my suggestion as an open reminder to myself as well since we're both "chubby" as you call it.

Diet should be not too heavy on fatty, fried foods, like KFC or MacDonald's hamburgers but eating them is not entirely a sin if you're hungry and did not cook dinner. Eat a well-balanced diet...different types from different food groups all the time. Cut out a copy of the Food Pyramid and stick it near your computer monitor or your Ref. Lean meat. Steak, not porkchops. More vegetables. Those foods with high-fiber content.

Try to replace constant pop soda drinking like Coke and Pepsi to plain ice cold water or pineapple juice or cranberry juice.

To add to this already helpful thread, YOGA. Try to make it part of your routine. Walking 30 minutes every day.
