All you can eat - No to-go-boxes

Today I went to Sonny's Real Pit BBQ
and I was very disappointed because I didn’t expect to see food get wasted. I believe it’s a crime when we’re forced to waste food because we cannot get a to-go-Box for the food that we cannot finish eating, and it’s sad that we must leave it behind. It is extremely stupid to do so; this is what happened to me today at Sonny's.

I asked to have the All-you-can-eat ribs for dinner. After I had asked for more ribs, I had become too full to finish them because of the large sweet ice tea drink I had, so I asked for a to-go-box and the lady told me, very quietly, that I could not have one. This is very sad to me; this is almost like a crime because I would be wasting good food that I could warm up and eat the next day!

We should always be given a to-go-box, no matter what we order; we waste so much food this way, it is sad how this happens! I wrapped the food I had and took it home in napkins and hid it away in my jacket; how sad! We need to get on the ball and protest when we’re not given a to-go-box, so let us, who do not like to see good food go to waste, stand up!! Never let food be wasted!!

I can't stand the thought of leaving untouched food at my table, which might go to waste.

I wonder if there are any other Geeks on here who have had similar experience like this before? Is this just because we ordered the "All-you-can-eat"-dinners? Why couldn't we take our left-over food home with us? This just seems completely ridiculous to me!; ▶ Reply to This

What you can do is bring your own Hefty Ziploc heavy plastic sandwich / freezer bags and those thin Tupperware square plastic sandwich containers and a jacket with those giant pockets where you can fit books into. I live in a family that doesn't waste food even if it means eating the same thing for 5 to 7 nights in a row - following the old saying that something is better than nothing, just be thankful.; ▶ Reply to This
