i named my Mac Pro Potens which is laten for poweful, well Mac Pros are damn powerful!

I tend to call mine "Crappy Windows Box" if it's doing something I don't want it to, otherwise I don't really have a name lol.

Is that actually in the "computer name" dialog or, is that just out of your mouth. Pretty sure this discussion refers to "actual" computer name ..

I name my computers according to either the purpose, the OS or, a combination of the OS and use of the box. The first server that I implemented on my network, I named "srvr1", lol. My personal machine that I use daily is running Gentoo so, I named it gbox. rather simple but, I think simple is good sometimes.

Thats similar to how I set mine up as well, I run multiple os'es and have multiple machines, so I tend to name em server and ubu-desk or win-desk1 and virtubox-1 ect.
