DOOM at the height of its popularity. I hate the pigman that shows up at the end of the game. Lately, since I haven't been playng much, I would say it's the final stage in Link's Crossbow Training where I had to approach Darknut for the kill. Nyikes!
Star Trek Elite Force and Halo. Their the only games that really freaked me out. I remember Halo on the xbox a few years ago, Around 12AM, lights off and a grunt came round the corner, i actually peed myself XD.
I'm too much of a wimp to play scary games. But i bought my boyfriend Left for Dead for his birthday and it kinda freaked me out and made me laugh at the same time as i watched him play. Ha ha.
It would have to be F.E.A.R for me. Played that game in the in the dark with the headphones on and believe me... I jumped out my seat on more that one occasion. Great game though.
Some parts of Dead Space were funny (for morbid humour), but some moments were just downright scary and creeped me out. Like the long, silent lift ride down with a blood-curdling scream towards the end. Some parts of that game seemed like they were based on the best, most demented parts of the Hellraiser movies!
Hands down, Resident Evil, the original on ps one. When the dog jumps through the window I quite literally crapped my pants. I was talking to a friend on the phone while in the room with the spider on the ceiling, thinking it was nothing more then a fan, i put the controller down to make a drink. Suddenly the spider jumped down on the floor, I screamed " Crap a F#$%ING Spider!!!" dropped the phone and drink, to grab my controler and fire my shotgun. My tv was loud and my friend thought I was on crack and fired a gun in my house. After killing the spider, I paused, picked up the phone and explained what was going on. My friend and I still laugh when we talk about it.
