Will Windows Vista become OBSOLETE?

vista is the most unstable os i have ever seen since ME it sucks to and takes up way to much cpu and ram it definitely will become OBSOLETE if windows 7 is as good as planned

Yes, because Vista is so bad. It's like Windows ME became obsolete so quickly after XP came out because it was so terrible.

With the way Vista going now.. I guess Windows XP will live forever.

If obsolete means there will be no programs to run on it I think that's a very very unlikely scenario. Microsoft tries incredibly hard not to break old programs and to keep compatibility.

XP came out in 2001 and is not obsolete yet. What makes anybody think that Vista will be obsolete with the coming of Windows 7. XP, Vista and 7 are all based on the NT kernel.

Unstable how? Fundamentally it's MORE stable than XP. In the beginning a lot of drivers for Vista (I'm looking at you Nvidia) sucked. Things are a lot better now.

In what ways is Vista unstable?

it is slow and it takes up a lot of your cpu and ram you have to have like the best computer in the world to run it it is not more stable than xp
