Kubuntu is my favourite.

I prefer KDE to anything, it is sooooo powerful and configurable, and KDE4 is the sexiest piece of desktop I've ever seen that has as much flexibility as KDE does. The Ubuntu-based distros are well-supported, and most things "just work." Having said that, it's very easy to get in and hack around with stuff if/when you feel like it. I also prefer Debian's package management system.

Ubuntu, because its very easy to use, meaning installing software, updating software using the GNOME desktop and other stuff are just nice! There it does not matter if you use the terminal or the graphical tools, all works nice.

I like the KDE desktops the best but have experience working with all desktops...The fastest Linux is still Puppy and that's what I'm running lately. Flash browser either Seamonkey or Firefox, mplayer, or xine. I'm kind of getting into the development side of things with programming which is hecka fun.

I use PCLinuxOS on an old Celeron 333MHz computer as its the only one that interfaced out of the box with a speedtouch 330 usb modem which i used to have before ethernet.

Btw Kde version ofpclinux 2007 is very windows/exwindows user friendly, of which i am a member of.

Oh yes before i forget, i am a big fan of puppy linux too!

Ubuntu. I've tried others in the past, and had pretty much perfectly-working Debian, Slackware, Mepis and a few other installs. But when it comes down to it, Ubuntu is the easiest to maintain for me and has a great, up to date package selection. Everything (aside from wireless, which apparently works in Intrepid) works out of the box.

I still prefer Debian for my server (<3 Apt), and I'm quite comfortable in the command line (which makes Ubuntu even easier and just as flexible as other distros for me to use), but I've found Ubuntu to be my ultimate desktop solution.
