Gentoo! ( http://gentoo.org )

I love the fact that I compile everything specifically for my machine. There's a bit of some overhead when setting everything up, but when you're done you have a blazing fast, tailored machine.

It also helps that the first few times you set up a machine you _really_ get to know the linux utilities.

My fav is Ubuntu on my Dell laptop. So far everything is working including the wireless except the card reader slot and my iPod touch. Ubuntu detects it as a camera instead of, say, a usb drive.

I have Ubuntu's latest .. Hardy Heron .. Gnome default. I used to use it as my primary OS on my Dell e1505 laptop. I switched back to Vista a few months ago. Not sure exactly why. I had been using Ubuntu for a year or two. Anyways, I barely visit that side of my computer anymore. When I do, it's just to update Ubuntu and see what's new. Funny, I posted two blog entries on my queer blog about Ubuntu (specifically styling the Avant Window Manager & styling the Compiz Fusioin Skydome) and they are both the most popular posts over all my other content. It's odd because they literally make 90% of all my traffic mostly from Ubuntu geeks and my site is primarily queer oriented. :)
