I have had windows xp since it was first realeased. Its a great os but it has its glitches. I like windows Vista more, i like the GUI is pretty nice, looks fancy. So VIsta is my choice. Aslong as you have heaps of ram and a fast cpu its great
Vista works for me so far, I've been back and forth betweeen vista and linux and was running dual boot for a while, but now I'm just using vista. Not too problematic some Firefox 3 crashing. and I'm running Vista business with 1gig of ram on an intell 1.60ghz processor and ati mobility radion x300.
I upgraded to Vista, I admit I had problems in the beginning, but seems to working great now. Of course I am using 32-bit Windows Vista, no way would I go 64-bit yet. I still use XP on my laptop, but thats only because I don't want to purchase another license for Vista.
i started using ubuntu 7.04 becasue it was free but i had trubel geting probrams to run so i swiched to Windows xp i have not injoued using Windows xp im considaring using wether i shod get a mac or vista
I've been using Vista from the day it came out, and i have to say, its the best OS Microsoft has made so far. Far less problems than when XP came out. If you have a newer PC you will have no problems with it. But if your PC is 2 or more years old, then stay with XP.
I will have to say, Vista 64-bit is more stable than 32-bit on my system.
The only problem i have with it is that there is still no driver support for my firewire card. But if i need to use firewire, i got my Powerbook G4 for that.
I run Windows Vista on a variety of PCs - a mix of 64-bit and 32-bit and have little to no issues. My main desktop PC in Windows Vista Ultimate x64 and have had absolutely no issues with the system for over a year now. The last issue wasn't a OS related issue either - was a hardware failure (had a stick of bad RAM). I also do a variety of things on these PCs - ranging from digital video editing and graphics work to Windows Media Center. Heck I have a Windows Media Center PC in my living room with CableCard and Digital Cable that's been running non-stop for months. It manages my entire living room home entertainment experience.
Granted, every OS has issues and I'm not saying Vista is picture perfect. Just chiming in here with a little background on what I use and how.

I am currently using Vista. I'd prefer not to use either XP or Vista to be honest lol. I'm holding out until the new MacBooks are released later this year.
I upgraded from XP to Vista, just to try it out. But since i'm a gamer and the games didn't work that well on Vista, i switched back to XP.
XP in my heart from now on <3
