Yes, I think it is. I've seen no improvement even with SP1. It's a truly dreadful OS and I think MS has it's work cut out with Windows 7. I've finally gone back to XP on my PC. It just works a hell of a lot better than Vista ever did. Mac OS X for me once the new MacBook Pro's are announced... hopefully soon!

I would assume he wouldn't know, and that is why he is asking. To form his opinion.

Vista is a good OS, just uses a lot of Ram and processor.

I've personally had a bad experience with vista since it's launch so i'll stick with XP & Ubuntu on my machines and I'll eventually have to w8 and see what Win7 has to offer :D .

Ubuntu is my primary OS, XP on the few systems I need for Windows specific applications. So far I've experienced very few problems switching my applications over to Ubuntu.

I'd have to say the expansive experience I have with Vista, almost since its release, has been dreadful. Luckily I have Linux to boot into and help me fix the mess that Vista leaves behind after its biweekly crash. It's dreadfully slow even after I ripped out its guts and "security" system. I replaced the Vista security system with my own time-tested programs. I spend most of my time on that computer booted into Ubuntu instead of Vista.

I don't know. Majove seems a little convenient, if you know what I mean. What if they were simply actors? Or, actors who made OS X look pretty with Vista graphics? Of course, that's the worst case scenario.

They probably make sure those computers are running perfectly and have stuff that aren't on their regular machines on them to make them work for the 5 seconds they have someone say "Oh my gosh! this is amazing!" Then it goes to BSOD.

no I thought it would be but my girlfriend installed the win update Service Pack that came out for Vista, and it would install just fine (It screwed up our networking-ness LOL) Or something like that anyways when we went to take it off It would uninstall...up until 35%

Then the one day we just decided to set it and forget it sort of thing and it went away but it is still slow considering she has 2 gigs of ram and a bulky CPU (don't know the specs so my wording will have to suffice)

I have 2 gigs of RAM and a 1.6 GHz processor. I could play Crysis if I wanted to.
