I think in USA is more cheaper because of has less tax over it and they arre smaller either, but in another countries, has more tax over it, and it became more expensive, do you agree with this?
iMacs are way over priced here in Israel. Take the best iMac from the Apple Store that costs 2199$ (with a 500GB HD), translated to NIS it's around 7200 NIS. But it cost almost twice as much, at the price of 11699 NIS (~3400$) (with a 320 GB HD - they don't even sell the one with the 500 GB =/) -And that's AFTER a 26% price reduction.
A lot of us would rather have a friend/ family member that lives in the US buy it for us and ship it here.

Well they are overpriced in Israel because the market has a very low quantity of buyers.
I don't think it's fair though, but that's the real reason I believe.
And also I think idigital in Israel sell by the European prices and not the US.
Also don't forget that the prices in Israel include tax, here in the US it doesn't include tax, so let's say you buy from California:
iMac 24" - $2,799 + 8.25% Tax = $3,029.
The $230 are nothing for the US customer, but it's a lot for the Israeli customer.
At my school, 6 different teachers have had the HDD's on their MacBooks go out 5 times. My Acer cost somewhere around $400 at Circuit City. They don't sell them anymore. [Search Aspire M1610]. I bought the nVidia 9800 GT graphics card, and as far as I know, that's better than any Mac out there.
The hardware in any Apple computer is absolutely no different than the quality of the hardware that goes into a PC. I've designed it, engineered, and troubleshot to component level digital and analog electronics for over 25 yrs. The processors are no different, the ram is no different. You are strictly paying over inflated prices due to the name Apple. A good example is add-on memory. A 1 gig stick of additional ram for your Mac is going to cost you around $1000 dollars when you upgrade at purchase time. This is insane. You can get that kind of ram...the same ram for around $50.00 dollars for a pc at Circuit City or any online vendor. The reason so many people pay the high price is because it makes them feel special, and makes them feel like they are part of some elite club. I'm a Mac user...look at me...PC's suck etc. This is complete rubbish, and anyone with half a brain knows this. It's a falicy to think that Macs are more stable, and less trouble. The real truth is that Apple is so limited as to what hardware they will put in their machines, and what software that they ALLOW to run on their systems that it's a matter of probability. The less variance in hardware, and the much lower number of controlled apps that they will support equates to less trouble. Thousands of parts can be put into a PC, and millions of apps can be installed. The chances of having a driver that conflicts with another program or device increases expotentially. This is not a fault with PC's...it's called freedom of choice. I've been building and using computers since the mid to late 80's, and i've NEVER has a BSOD. I pay attention to what I'm installing, and hardware specs, and I have no troubles. Just as reliable as any Mac you'll ever see.
