A friend showed me this program recently and I wanted to know if anyone else has a used it before and if so what are some of the simulations you have made?
Nice find, cool mixture of soft and rigid objects.
I made a simulation of a mixture of water and air; heated verts with charges to simulate the liquid-phase intermolecular forces.
That sounded a lot more complicated than it is!
i've made things
but they aren't worth mentioning
mainly just changing some of the .pzs files on the site around or combining some of the things (changing tank to make it shoot further or catapult to make more of the blocks fall down
i really like your vapour file
if you make anything else make sure to tell me
"Dax and his father built fun contraptions in physics based games such as The Incredible Machine and Crazy Machines. More ambitious projects, not uncommon amongst 6 year old physicists, required better tools, such as Phun and Working Model 2D. Alas, existing applications simply choke when trying to handle even the most basic mechanical combinatorial circuit, and so the need for Phyz was communicated in no uncertain terms to daddy.
Another definite requirement was the ability to break things. Break, demolish, crush, with accompanying ear-shattering sound. Thoughts to the effect that such functionality provided no help for the mechanical computer we were about to build were met with disdain."
they do mention phun however it seems that phyz is a more complicated version of phun that isn't used "To promote interest in science and technology among kids, youth, students and most likely adults too..." as the phun page says
I'm not trying to take anything away from Phun but I do believe that they are different and have their own unique points
I use PHUN, but unfortunatelly i have lost all of my sessions because of a damaged HDD, I had a burning chimenea, but without the flame (my laptop couldndt take it), it was just the woods and the particles flying around.
