Your problem most likely is not an Outlook error, it is probably a corrupted registry link in Internet Explorer 7 or 6.
Getting a restriction error when clicking on a hyperlink in an e-mail; this seems to be a very common question in the Microsoft public newsgroups, and I have found these fixes to help the problem: http://www.slipstick.com/problems/link_restrict.htm
For the Internet Explorer 7 fix: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q310049
Thanks for your help. Noticed your photo is the USS USS Honolulu. I was on the USS Seahorse (SSN 669). I was onboard from 1968 to 1971. I reported aboard two weeks before it was lanuched (Groton, CT) and the boats first crew member.
Thanks for noticing the picture of my boat. I have a few more pictures on my profile if you want to take a look. It's the USS Honolulu SSN-718 out of Pearl Harbor. I served on board her for about 5 years from 1988 - 1993. I also took part in the Cold War, and in Desert Storm. As far as the Cold War went, no Golfs, Hotels, Yankees, Deltas or Typhoons could get a shot off while we were on station. And how about those noisy Victor I, II and III's; or the Oscar-I and Oscar-II's. Or even the noisest of all submarines the Echo I and II class. I served as a submarine sonar technician for 8 years from 1985 - 1993.
I also spent some time in Groton, CT, but only for Sub School.
It's good to meet other ex-service members here at Geeks.
Could this Registry Link error also cause problems with installing the latest Adobe Flash? I wonder. I have, for the longest time, not been able to install the latest Adobe Flash so if I ever need to view things in Flash i use FireFox because it does work there.
BTW, I am a Navy Vet also. I was not in Submarines. I was at first on a Ammunition Ship and then with Operation Deep Freeze with the Sea Bees and then finally at Naval Station Philadelphia when Ford pardoned all of the Viet Nam Deserters. I had to do a lot of the processing for them I was a PN2.
Afterward, right-click on the Internet Explorer icon located on
your Taskbar and select: Run as administrator. Then visit: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Versio... which should be Adobe Flash Player version 10.0.22.87
Windows, Internet Explorer and click on "Install Now".
Or after uninstalling, you can download it directly from here: http://filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_ie/
And make sure that all Internet Explorer windows are closed out before you install it.
So far I have this version working on IE 6, 7 and the newly released version of 8.
