2001: A Space Odyssey

i saw the movie like 5 years ago
and i think its the worst movie ever made
probably didn't get the clue
can anyone explain why this movie is on the fav shelf?

That fake leopard could be our 'tool' to evaluate the species' potential. The monolith was an alien tool after all, and it seems that the species that made it was not so distant from us, as they were fascinated by the mind too.

I strongly recommend to read the book, and at least the first sequel, 2010: odyssey two. The second movie is not as good, as it does not complement the book as 2001 did, but cut some very important scenes.; ▶ Reply to This

I'm not saying the plot isn't any good
I'm just pointing out the fact that for me the movie didn't bring over its message
the AI computer side plot even clouded the message further

I'll see if i can found some audio books online of space odyssey
