It already happens in the US. Bush has no trouble confirming it either.

It's a bad thing, people should have privacy while in internet.

I personally think that with or without our knowledge, we are being monitored, our internet as well as our phone calls. Perhaps it's just my imagination because I watch a lot of movies, but I always thought that nothing we do online is safe...

They can fuck off. I am sick of this Labour government, they really need to be shown the door... and soon hopefully! They just think they can interfere with peoples lives and tell them what to do. It's not on.

I didn't know it's happening in the U.S., and if they plan on complaining about what I look at, (not just porn, perverts), they're directly breaking the first amendment.

Where are you leaving?
And going?

You really think the government has the people to watch everything everyone does on the internet?
They just have bots that detect certain keywords like in "The Bourne Ultimatum".

This is old news.

I made a post about it before: -

Yeah this has already been going on the United States for years. Well since before George Bush.

I didn't know about this. I am British. I think this is taking it too far. At least we could make a film sequel to 1984 and call it 2008 and set it in the UK. It's near enough Big Brother now :(

I'm glad I left.

Take care.

Ian

I'm not so much worried about the fact that our govenment wants to spy on us. What concerns me more is that they want to keep all the information in one, central database. Given our government's track record on losing laptops containing personal information and having security breaches in their I.T systems, this fact worries me enormously.

I have nothing to hide and don't really care if someone is tracking my every phone call and email, but I do care if that information gets into the hands of criminals, or worse, advertising agencies!!
